The Lahaina Cruise Company Maui Princess Dinner Cruise is a great choice for large groups. The inside 2 rows of tables are only a couple of feet away from each other which creates a party type atmosphere.
Dinner is served at your table and comes in courses. The food is very good and great service. To provide a classy ambience the Maui Princess requires their servers to wear a tuxedo. Kind of cool…
Certain days of the year the Maui Princess takes a break from its normal routine and sponsors a firework dinner cruise for the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve. Ticket prices are higher, but the firework show from aboard a boat are the best seats around for enjoying one of these special moments in Lahaina. The menu remains the same, but the atmosphere is much more electric.
Lahaina Cruise Company is one of the longest running activity providers on Maui. It was under the name Island Marine Activities that the first dinner cruise on Maui began service aboard the Lin Wa.

I took the 2hour whale watching cruise and unfortunately had a bad experience.
While the narration by the crew at the wheel was great there was an experience that made be feel biased against - I ordered a popular brand of snacks while on the cruise and was made fun of by the serving crew member due to my accent. I am not a native English speaker and I feel the crew member’s behavior made fun of my background and is an insult to passengers who speak English as a second language. Given the variety of tourists Hawaii attracts, I would have thought such a discrimination would not have happened here.
Not recommended if you not a native English speaker!
Their morning whale watching tour is usually not full and we got great views of a group of competing whales. Their early bird tour is a great value if you can get up, though the sun glare can sometimes be annoying. They have a nice crew!
It's hard to find parking! We did the dinner sunset cruise. You wait to get tickets and wrist bands out in sun. I want to say wear sunscreen, hats, comfortable clothes. Don't wear heals! You sit on the top deck in full sun. Everyone was sweating! You do about 6 stairs to go to top deck. The boat really rocks. Food was good!! They give you a free Mai Tai and then your price gives you 2 free alcohol drinks. Then, you have to buy. All sodas are free. They expect about $20 or more tip after cruise. The stars were so amazing out there in the dark! The lady singing was really good!
Food was great and the service was better. The boat needs a lot of work below. You would think that the amount of money they make they could afford to fix it up.
Fabulous evening on dinner cruise. Nice food and good service. Highly recommended
