Paragon’s Maui sunset sail is more of a performance sailing adventure than a romantic interlude. Known more for their Lanai snorkel tour, Paragon also offers a sunset sail. Trip Advisor has awarded Paragon with a certificate of excellence in 2016 for their Maui sunset sail. There are few companies that can boast that honor. Like every charter boat on Maui that does a sunset cruise, during the whale watching season from December 15th through April 15th, Paragon will include a whale watching tour with your sunset sail. It’s a perfect way to conclude a fun-filled day on Maui. The Humpback whale is Maui’s return visitor year. They hang out if in the warm waters off Maui more than any other island in the state. They are majestic, graceful and always fun to watch. If you are a sailing buff looking for something a little different, then your choice is pretty clear, Paragon. Paragon was designed by John Conser, specifically for sailing in Hawaii. The sailboat holds the sailing speed record at 30.1 knots at full sail. At 47 feet in length, it’s one of the smaller catamarans in Lahaina with a 24-foot beam, 675 square foot mainsail, and 375-foot jib. The wing mast is 105 square feet. A 90-horsepower engine allows Paragon to motor in and out of the harbor.

Sailed with Captain Patrick, Noni, and Jake. Had a blast with them. We made our way to Lanai for some snorkeling, had lunch on the island, sailed back, did some blue water swimming, and then headed back to the harbor. The crew was attentive and very much hospitable. They made sure everyone felt like they were getting 5 star treatment. I highly recommend them and their new boat.

We had a great time aboard this boat. The Captain and crew were outstanding! They don't over pack the boat like most. There is nothing like the feeling of sailing on the ocean. Thank you Sail Maui for a great experience!!!

This was one of the high points of our vacation. We have been to Maui many times before but never did a sunset cruise. We were on the Paragon boat. Our crew were Bennett and Melissa. They were both awesome hosts. There were unlimited drinks and some appetizers they were great. They put up the sails on the outbound but the wind died and we had to use the motor to get back. We were treated to an amazing sunset as well. The boat was spacious so it wasn’t at all crowded. Great value!

My mom and I went on the Paragon II trip to Molokini on Sunday. Brian and Eric were our crew and made us feel right at home. They were super great, nice, funny and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good and ready when we got on the boat. There wasn't much wind so we used the motor to get to Molokini. Had a prime snorkeling spot there, off to the side, and we were the only boat at the spot. When you finish snorkeling lunch and beer is served. It was very relaxing and we cruised back to Maui when everyone was ready. They even put up the sails for a while on the way back. Very nice boat and I would definitely recommend the trip and do it again myself! Thank you Brian and Eric! Y'all rock.
