West Maui Parasail – Early Bird and Noon 800ft or 1200ft
$74.65 BOOK NOW
Best Price GuaranteeWest Maui Parasail offers the ultimate experience in parasailing on Maui. Departing from either Lahaina Harbor or from Kaanapali Beach, you’ll get high soaring above the ocean. Please note that parasailing is a seasonal activity. Due to the arrival of the Humpback Whales in the winter, parasailing is not allowed from December 15th through May 15th. Parasailing is a very relaxing thing to do. It’s a quiet time to marvel at the sights of Hawaii from the sky and listen to the wind catch the parasail as the boat pulls you through the sky. It really gives you a moment to appreciate nature’s bounty.
West Maui Parasail is the longest-running parasailing company on Maui. The state of Hawaii has never issued very many permits for Maui parasailing. There are only six permits. This is the primary reason parasailing books up so fast, besides the fact that the boats are small allowing for 6 to 12 guests per tour time depending on the boat. If you’re staying at the Aina Nalu or Lahaina Shores you can just walk to the one at Lahaina Harbor.
Flying Styles:
There are 2 different flying styles to choose from.
Single is flying by yourself. You have to weigh at least 130 pounds to parasail as a single.
Tandem is flying with a partner or two. Perfect for families with children. Flying tandem is much more entertaining than flying single. You have someone to marvel the experience with, so it’s not lonely.
800’ Line:
The eight-hundred-foot line takes you up about 50 stories. It’s the length of the line, not the height. The line angles up, so it’s not a vertical thing. Still, that’s quite high above the Pacific Ocean.
1200’ line:
The twelve-hundred-foot line takes you above the waters of West Maui about 80 stories, maybe a little higher. The line angles out rather than a vertical height. Things look pretty small from that far above the ocean.
How it Works:
No experience necessary. Once you board the parasailing boat, each guest is put in the harness assembly. There is a platform on the back of the boat that acts as a rear deck. The crew will assist you to the platform and sit you down in the center. They attach the harness assembly to the stell cable and power up the boat releasing the winch at the same time. The parasail catches the wind and up you go. The landing is as simple as the take-off. Once the ride is nearing its end, the crew winches you back to the boat. As you approach the boat, the captain may elect to dip you in the water. It’s almost like dipping a tea bag in a cup. Then they pull you back up and land you on the boat exactly where you started from.
Tip of the Day:
Wear something you won’t mind getting wet.
You can request photos be taken. It’s an extra fee, but having the crew take the photos is priceless as they capture the best moments of you.
Once you’re flying style has been selected, it cannot be changed when checking in. The time allowed for the boat is tied to the flying styles.

There is no food with this tour.

No children under age 6 allowed on the boat
