Paragon’s Maui sunset sail is more of a performance sailing adventure than a romantic interlude. Known more for their Lanai snorkel tour, Paragon also offers a sunset sail. Trip Advisor has awarded Paragon with a certificate of excellence in 2016 for their Maui sunset sail. There are few companies that can boast that honor. Like every charter boat on Maui that does a sunset cruise, during the whale watching season from December 15th through April 15th, Paragon will include a whale watching tour with your sunset sail. It’s a perfect way to conclude a fun-filled day on Maui. The Humpback whale is Maui’s return visitor year. They hang out if in the warm waters off Maui more than any other island in the state. They are majestic, graceful and always fun to watch. If you are a sailing buff looking for something a little different, then your choice is pretty clear, Paragon. Paragon was designed by John Conser, specifically for sailing in Hawaii. The sailboat holds the sailing speed record at 30.1 knots at full sail. At 47 feet in length, it’s one of the smaller catamarans in Lahaina with a 24-foot beam, 675 square foot mainsail, and 375-foot jib. The wing mast is 105 square feet. A 90-horsepower engine allows Paragon to motor in and out of the harbor.

This was truly a first class experience. I would recommend this tour to everyone. It is well worth the price. The boat is brand new. The staff (Captain Patrick, Noni and Jake) were on point with helping everyone, serving drinks, safety and making everyone comfortable. We saw whales, dolphins, turtles, and beautiful coral reef. The tour lasted all day. We had time to hike to Sweetheart Rock on Lanai an play at the beach. The picnic lunch was a well planned sandwich with ingredients individually wrapped so nothing got soggy. We took it on our hike and ate at the lookout. We sailed on the way home and saw more whales. This trip would still be wonderful if it wasn't whale season. Thank you for a wonderful tour!

I cannot say enough positive things about Sail Maui! Our family of 7 booked the sunset sail with them. Even though no one else ended up booking the tour, they did not cancel our trip. Consequently, we had a beautiful 50 person catamaran all to ourselves! The crew was amazing (Patrick, Brittany) with great service so we had a lovely sail. They pointed out whales to us and tried to get us closer for a better view! Highly recommend this company and we would say this was one of the highlights of our trip!

I can't say enough positive things about our snorkel trip to Lanai today with the crew of Sail Maui.

Captain Patrick, Jake, Brit and Maggie we're hands down the best crew I've experienced. And I've probably been on no less than 15 snorkeling or whale watching trips.

Not only was their service great, they were very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the whole island and humpback whales. We come to Maui often and will absolutely seek out Captain Patrick and this crew. 5/5 stars- extra for their responsibility and respect for the environment and the whales.

I will only ever sail with sail Maui. The best sails j have ever been on. Been 4 times now and can’t wait for my next trip. Great for kids, couples, solo travellers and friends! Food is great (although gluten free + vegan/ veg options would be a great improvement)

All the staff are so kind and knowledgeable, everyone treats you like family and it makes the trip that much better. The snorkel spots never disappoint and we’ve seen dolphins, whales, mantas, and turtles on every sail! Worth every penny 🤍

My Ohana (family) and I went on their Lanai Coast Snorkel Tour yesterday and it was AMAZING! Captain Brad, Brittany, and Justin are so cool and friendly! They made us feel welcomed and comfortable! On our way to Lanai we had an EPIC WHALE WATCH! The whales were so close that we saw the barnacles on them and could smell their breath! It wasn't so fresh, but it was the coolest thing to experience! We went to 2 different snorkel spots by Lanai and WOW it was so beautiful! The water was so clear and there was lots of fishes and I even saw an eel! Also, the staff told us to listen for the whales underwater and yup you could hear them loud and clear! My little cousin also came with us and he can't swim very well, but the staff helped him get settled with floatation devices and a noodle. He had so much fun just floating around and practicing how to use the snorkel gear! This tour and their staff is phenomenal and I highly recommend them you will not be disappointed!
