Think Fun! That is the definition of Seafire Charters’ Molokini snorkeling trip. Seafire is a hard-bottomed inflatable raft that specializes in small groups. Seafire Charters is also known for their friendly captain and crew as the company is family owned and operated. They arrive earlier at Molokini, before any other charter boat, giving you time at the crater without any crowds.
Seafire has been operating Molokini snorkel tours for over 30 years. During that time, they have taken thousands of guests to experience the wonders of Molokini Crater. When you snorkel Molokini, you will discover amazing coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life. Your morning snorkeling at Molokini will be entertaining, that’s for sure.
Molokini Crater is designated as a National Marine Reserve. Protected and cherished, Molokini Crater is also a wildlife refuge. While snorkeling at Molokini you will be amazed at the variety of marine life teeming within the crater. Seafire may, if the wind permits, snorkel the back wall of the crater. That is a special treat that the larger catamarans are unable to participate in due to their size and schedule.
Being in a raft is more intimate, less crowded and less prone to motion sickness. They are less prone because they don’t move through the water slowly like a catamaran. They are quick, to the point and provide an adrenaline rush. A Maui rafting adventure doesn’t include all the amenities of a catamaran. There are no restrooms, covered decks or BBQ lunch aboard this vessel. They are a quick, inexpensive and fun trip designed to get the job done in a stealth-like manner. You will save money, time and best of all have a wonderful experience.
Kihei Boat Ramp is the departure point for Seafire Charters Molokini snorkel. Simply put the charter boats that go snorkeling at Molokini from Kihei are all rafts, which means fewer people and a more exciting ride on the boat.
Snorkeling Molokini is a must do Maui activity for every first-time visitor. Like the thousands before you, you will probably return again and again. Like many, you will be using the Seafire again.

This was a great snorkeling experience. They were so attentive and made sure our masks fit properly and they were in the water with us making sure we beginners were all right. They ran though everything and gave us a lot of snorkeling tips. Would definitely recommend them.
Perfect first experience for snorkeling!! They are so sweet and take care of all of us. They gave us a superb tour. We saw lots of beautiful fish and had the chance to swim with the turtles!! I highly recommend to go with them in Molikini!
One word: Awesome! This was one of the best trips of my life! The crew aboard were so kind, warm, and just on top of it. The crew made the trip so enjoyable! They spent plenty of time chatting with us and making our experience even better. Food, water, and drinks were provided on board as-well. You get to do three main things, snorkel, whale-watch (if it is the season), and of course enjoy your time out there! Very kid-friendly as well! The snorkel boats provided on board fins, snorkels, flotation devices, and de-fog. The crew were always looking out for us and were in the water at all times. It was a small group size which made it even better. The snorkeling spots were beautiful too! I really hope that I can do this trip again! We got to see so many fish and swam with turtles too! For the molokini snorkel I would definitely recommend it to everyone out there, to enjoy the best of Maui! Thank you so much for the trip Seafire Charters!
Top quality snorkeling tour out to Molokini with great staff who always have their guests comfort in mind. They have small tour group sizes and a sleek, fast boat. We would highly recommend this tour company.
5 stars as this absolutely met our needs and expectations and was a great experience. Great value compared to what was on offer from hotel concierges and those with glossy brochures. Firstly their start time was a little later than others which was nice. We were staying in Kihei so it was just a short drive to the local boat launch. Plenty of free parking at that time of day. Juice and muffins provided during check in. Smaller boat (still a S.A.F.E. Boat) means less people to deal with and a more personal experience. Staff were very knowledgable of the snorkel spots and took good care of our safety. Fresh fruit, muffins and pop/soft drink/juice was just the right amount of food when paired with snorkelling. We saw whales in the distance, lots of fish, turtles and heard whales under water. They also gave us tips on where to swim with manta rays when back on shore. Highly recommended.
