Paragon is in possession of one of 3 permits that were offered to bring guests to Lanai for snorkel activities. Manele Bay and Hulopoe Beach are considered marine preserves. The unspoiled reefs and land are a tribute to being privately owned. By keeping the number of visitors down, Lanai has flourished into one of the best-kept secrets in Hawaii with some of the most colorful reefs in the world. There was a time when Lanai was known for pineapples. During the 20th century Dole Pineapple bough the island and began planting pineapple on thousands of acres. It was a time of growth for Lanai. Bustling with workers from nations all over the world, all laboring in the fields producing the pineapple that gave Lanai its namesake, the Pineapple Island, Today Lanai is lightly populated with under 4000 residents. Lanai is owned by Larry Ellison who founded Oracle. Mr. Ellison has taken steps to improve the infrastructure of Lanai including Manele Harbor, the airport, and roads. He also turned his attention to the Lodge at Manele and the Lodge at Keole.

My wife and I really enjoyed our sunset cruise.
Dom and Brit were quite attentive. It was a small group (8) but they went out anyway.
Not any grp would do that! Boat was very clean. Food was real tasty. 😁
Lovely evening sail!
The crew were great, and looked after us very well. The boat is a performance catamaran, and we were under sail for most of the trip. I would do this again!
Sailed with Captain Patrick, Noni, and Jake. Had a blast with them. We made our way to Lanai for some snorkeling, had lunch on the island, sailed back, did some blue water swimming, and then headed back to the harbor. The crew was attentive and very much hospitable. They made sure everyone felt like they were getting 5 star treatment. I highly recommend them and their new boat.
We had a great time aboard this boat. The Captain and crew were outstanding! They don't over pack the boat like most. There is nothing like the feeling of sailing on the ocean. Thank you Sail Maui for a great experience!!!
This was one of the high points of our vacation. We have been to Maui many times before but never did a sunset cruise. We were on the Paragon boat. Our crew were Bennett and Melissa. They were both awesome hosts. There were unlimited drinks and some appetizers they were great. They put up the sails on the outbound but the wind died and we had to use the motor to get back. We were treated to an amazing sunset as well. The boat was spacious so it wasn’t at all crowded. Great value!
