A locally owned tour company, Hana Tours of Maui specializes in Maui tours. Take this eco-tour along the coastal Hana highway known as the Road to Hana that is home to the lush rainforest of Maui’s eastern volcano, Haleakala. Riding the Road to Hana with Hana Tours of Maui is not your everyday highway experience. It’s a winding road of spectacular scenery including cliffs and waterfalls. Know what to expect before you go! Take advantage of door to door service in this customized and comfortable van that can seat up to 14 guests each. Hana Tours of Maui picks up from south, west, and central Maui, including Kahului harbor (for cruise ships). Meals are included in these tickets: breakfast being served on the north shore overlooking the West Maui mountains and lunch being served in beautiful Hana Town.

On this deluxe Hana Tour, take in the lush Hawaiian rainforest as you get a chance to swim by a waterfall in a freshwater pool of the Haleakala Volcano and Wainapanapa’s black sand beach. Don’t forget, you’ll get a chance to buy and enjoy some incredibly fresh banana bread along your journey.

After experiencing Maui’s north shore, return along the southern “backside” of Haleakala and witness more of Maui’s diverse views. The windswept rolling slopes of Haleakala’s southern face is a sight entirely different from the northern rainforest along Hana highway. See the resting place of Charles Lindbergh. At the end of the day, your guide will bring you safely back to your home on Maui.

This tour company was amazing for the road to Hana! My family loved it. The driver/tour guide was very informative and tried his best to point out landmarks and historical sites. One thing to keep in mind, the drivers try to keep the local Hana citizens happy by accommodating to their lifestyle as much as possible. This means, they drive at a speed (on two lane roads- meaning not possible to pass) that allows residents to come and go at a normal pace. It felt very fast to my husband and I, but we are not accustomed to driving mountainside. I would not let this keep you from doing the tour! It allowed my husband and I to soak in the view without having to take turns driving. Also, there are shops and stops we would have known to make part of our excursion if it weren’t for the tour guide. Definitely worth it! Make sure to wear sunscreen, bring towels, and be prepared for any kind of weather!

Hana tours of Maui was fantastic. Melanie was our guide and she was wonderful. We were not able to swim in the waterfall but we got to spend a lot of time at Black Sand Beach. Breakfast was great and lunch was very nice. The southern slopes of Haleakala were absolutely gorgeous. If we had driven the road to Hana we would not have been able to get to that area. I highly recommend going on this tour. Well worth the money.

This was an awesome tour of the road to Hana and went past Hana and practically around the whole island. We saw so much of Maui and got amazing pictures. Our tour guide Mike was absolutely fantastic, genuine, extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable. We’ve taken a few other tours on Maui and Mike has been truly the best! I would definitely recommend this tour, and if you get Mike you’ve hit the road to Hana lottery!

We were a family of nine on our first trip to Maui and found this tour. It was absolutely fabulous! Our tour guide Kaleo was awesome. He very knowledgeable about the island in the culture. We could tell he wasn't working off a script. He answered all kinds of questions and was curious about where we were from as well. You could definitely tell he enjoyed his work.
