This Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Maui Spectacular tour is 90 minutes in duration is the only Helicopter Tour that does it all. Literally, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters combines the West Maui and the Hana and Haleakala tour and takes you to all of the most epic sights to see on Maui in one trip. It also includes a landing at a private area on Ulupalakua Ranch around Kula. Expanding on traditional routes, the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Maui Spectacular tour began offering a touchdown at a remote location in Ulupalakua soon after they began service in Maui. This Maui helicopter activity is really one of a kind. Once you lift off at the Kahului Heliport the journey begins like all other 45 minute Hana and Haleakala flights with a fly by the south rim of Haleakala Crater. At one time helicopters, could fly into the crater itself, which made this one of the most exciting parts of the flight.
Considering it takes about 2.5 hours to drive up the summit from Kihei and a little longer from the west side, it’s a much better option to check it out these parts of the island by helicopter. The sights around Hana include many huge waterfalls and the quaint town that still retains its charm as a small Hawaiian village. The beauty of the Haleakala and the rain-forests of East Maui are only surpassed by the views from the landing. High on the west slope, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Maui Spectacular tour lands for a brief time.
The touchdown is a little over 30 minutes. Refreshments are served and your pilot will share some history of the area. Things that most people will never discover.
It is highly recommended that you wear a dark, solid colored shirt for any of the helicopter flights. Brightly colored clothes can cause reflections on the windows that will show up in your photos and videos.
Don’t forget your shades!
The very best time to experience a Maui helicopter ride is in the morning.
The Eco-Star Helicopter: Like most helicopters, the Eco-Star seats six passengers and the pilot. The seating arrangement is two in the front and four across the back. All seats are buckets that provide the feeling of your very own seat. The back seats lift like theater seats for a better viewing experience. The Eco-Star features the following amenities that enhance your experience. An extra 60 square feet of glass windows for better viewing. A 4 camera digital DVD system with a cockpit camera that puts you in the video. Two-way communication between you and the pilot. Bose aviation grade noise canceling headsets. First class seats with 23% more cabin area for more personal space. The most advanced 21st-century helicopter technology that provides an ultra-quiet, smooth and fuel-efficient ride.

Mike did an incredible job taking us around the island!! It was our third try to get on the helicopter due to weather issues and it was an absolutely...
Just heard they are opening up again "YES!" I have gone with them with visiting family. They are great. I will go with them again
Very fresh helicopters and nice office. Incredible destinations such a "Maui Spectacular" so worth it. Recommended.
Simply amazing experience. Helpful, friendly staff and pilot. Our 2 girls (2 and 6) loved it every bit as much as my wife and I. Breathe taking views, even managed to do some whale watching while we were up there. Thanks again.
Such an amazing experience with Blue Hawaiian this past Saturday! We flew on a rainy day and there were actually terrific waterfalls just cascading out of...
Directions: I had eve earliest flight. Give yourself time to get to the airport. Please note: My gps sent us to the airport under a different address on...
These are the nicest and newest helicopters on the islands. They also record the flight inside and out, which you can purchase a copy of after the flight. We have flown Blue Hawaiian on three of the islands and have had amazing, unforgettable experiences. The pilots are not afraid to get great views of whales and lava flows for everyone on both sides of the helicopter.
Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had!!! My husband and I were worried our tour would be cancelled due to inclement weather conditions but luckily the company re-routed our tour! Instead of the Hana tour we saw Molokai Island among other historical Maui sites. It was just incredible and our pilot was very knowledgeable and fun. We saw whales, waterfalls, reefs, cliffs and isolated communities. I would love to do this again!!
My wife and I did the Maui Spectacular tour. It was the highlight of our week on Maui! Tim, our pilot, did a wonderful job of narrating the experience. The view from the landing area on Mt. Haleakala was spectacular and complete with champagne! The tour gave us an appreciation for the rugged beauty of Maui that can only be seen from the air.
Gorgeous ride!!! My family and I did the Hana/Eastern Maui tour ride and loved it. The helicopters are not open door, which was fine by me. For photo taking maybe that's not the best but you can purchase a video of your entire trip (with the pilot's commentary) afterward if you want. Our pilot, Ken, was knowledgeable and gave us a smooth ride. A wonderful experience!!
Top of the line experience! We originally planned for the whole family to take a helicopter ride over Maui and Molokai islands, but our 11 y/o got cold...
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! I was absolutely terrified, but we had a great pilot named Hugo. He took us on a tour of Maui and had a lot of interesting information to share. His playlist during the ride was also awesome! Next time we go back to Maui I guarantee we are doing another helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian.
10/10 - incredible experience. Informative and engaging pilot. We saw wales and he took his time panning left and right so everyone could have a good view. Overall really enjoyed it. Our 3 and 1 year old both fell asleep so can’t say much for them 😂
This was definitely a cool experience. Getting up close to some really tall waterfalls and sea cliffs, flying through a huge dormant volcano crater, and getting to do it all in a helicopter was definitely unforgettable. Our pilot was really nice and I did enjoy his commentary during the flight explaining some of the history of the islands. Overall a great experience. However it does leave you wanting more. I wish we would have explored the island of Molokai more than did instead of going back and touring Maui at the end. Other than that I think it was a great time.
