2-Tank Maui Scuba Diving
Lahaina Divers offers a variety of Maui scuba diving locations that are fun and exciting. These are afternoon diving trips. Some of the locations that they frequently visit during these Maui scuba diving adventures are Turtle Reef or the Carthaginian shipwreck. The shipwreck dive descends over 100 feet to the ocean floor. This is an interesting dive as the Carthaginian was sunk as an artificial reef. The experiment was a huge success as the shipwreck is slowly getting covered with barnacles and the entire area has blossomed into a marine habit for hundreds of species of fish. At one time the Carthaginian was docked in Lahaina and used as a museum. The ship is a concrete replica of an 18th-century whaling ship. Now it’s a thriving reef just south of Lahaina.

The Turtle Reef dive is a fun dive checking out the green sea turtles and the immense variety of fish on colorful reefs. Turtle Reef is also known as Turtle Arches. A few miles south of Lahaina, the reef area is in the calm waters off Olowalu. It’s not really a deep dive, but a good one. There are literally dozens of turtles that call the area home. From small to large, the turtles grace the reef with their beauty, swimming as if there isn’t a care in the world. A great dive, if you are looking for something to do in the afternoon.
There are very few dive shops that offer afternoon dives. Lahaina Divers is one of them. Most dive companies prefer the early morning for diving as they travel across a channel that get a little rough in the afternoon. Lahaina Divers keeps it simple as they ply the coast for exceptional Maui dive sites that are rarely frequented by other dive companies.

The staff at Lahaina Divers are some of the best dive shop staff I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They are clearly one of the best dive shops on the island. They offer the nicest rental gear and top notch diving instructors. Anyone looking to dive in the Lahaina area should strongly consider a visit for Lahaina Divers.

Great dive experience. We went out to the cathedrals in the am and then mala ramp/turtle town in the PM. The guides and crew were great leading us in our dives. Both dive sites had a lot to offer from turtles, sharks, eels etc.

I visited Lahaina divers in February 2020 with my wife. We had snorkeled previously but had not done scuba. We were looking for an opportunity to discover what it was like. We were part of a larger group of verified divers on the boat, but we had our own instructor. The drive site was only about 10 minutes away from the marina. We were given instructions on the boat then taken in the water to perform some skills. Then we were taken around for about 30 minutes at sound 30 feet. The dive site had lots of fish, turtles, and even some reef sharks. Brian was our instructor and did a great job and was very patient. There were 2 other participants that were discovering scuba as well and while Brian was working with them we were able to go snorkeling during that time. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend this.

I dove with this shop for 4 days and loved it!The good: friendly experienced staff who know what they are doing. I never felt uncomfortable or neglected. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Great dive locations, snacks, coffee, and sandwiches. I'm giving 5 stars for a reason. Jules (sp?) was an amazing guide and person. The bad: we had some rudeness trying to book over the phone. Photos aren't available in a digital format. A little expensive, but I think it's just Hawaii pricing.

I’ve dove with Lahaina divers twice now for the hammerhead dive (once in 2015, once in 2019). Neither time did I see a hammerhead, but both times I had a great dive experience on great boats. Most recently saw some grey sharks, rays, barracuda and “fish rain” was spectacular. Great dove shop with nice trips.
