The attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941, forever changed American history. This Polynesian Adventure Tours Pearl Harbor tour takes you on a journey back to that time when the US came together in one voice, rising to a level of patriotism that hasn’t been witnessed ever since. By the tens of thousands, Americans flocked to the recruiting offices around the country to enlist. America was at war. The USS Arizona Memorial is a tribute to those who had their lives taken from them during the attack on Pearl Harbor, but also to all those that perished during the war in the Pacific. This Polynesian Adventure Tours Pearl Harbor tour will have you walking thoughtfully through the complex that is the Pearl Harbor Memorial on Oahu. As you wander through the halls out to glimpse at the USS Arizona Memorial while waiting for the next movie screening of the attack, you will notice the stone memorials that line the lawn. Here is the remembrance to the sister ships of the USS Arizona and the names of their brothers in arms who died during the attack. The movie shown is where smiles will turn somber, where laughing eyes become sad, laced with tears. The movie is so emotional, that your mood will change and your heart will reach out to those who perished. The voice behind the movie is so perfect that, no other vocals could convey such a powerful narration. She is a Japanese-American. The boat ride out to the memorial is somber. As you walk the length of the memorial, 1200 names are etched into boards in remembrance of those who served on the USS Arizona. Looking down through the water, you can see the outline of the ship and the oil that bubbles out, still. Polynesian Adventures Tours take you on a ride through downtown Honolulu to Punch Bowl Cemetery as well, adding to your experience of Oahu. You’ll also visit the National Cemetery of the Pacific. Like its sister in Virginia, rows upon rows of the fallen lay in peace. The day concludes with a tour of the battleship USS Missouri. The Mighty Mo is maintained by veterans that span all wars in our recent history as a nation. It was on these very decks that Japan surrendered to the United States of America officially ending the war.

Our driver Sale was very professional and very friendly. Driving through the switchbacks we had nothing to fear, Sale was very experienced and safe. My favorite thing about Sale was that he was funny and knowledgeable about all of our surroundings. It amazed me that he could tell a story while being completely focused on driving the entire time. He was very caring too, reserving the front seats for the elderly when he didn’t have to. I would do the road to Hana again but only if Sale was team leading.

My family of 5 got up and ready at 2:30AM to see the sunrise at Haleakalā National Park. Preston was our guide and he made us feel comfortable from the moment we got on the bus. Preston used his experiences and humor to provide facts that kept my family engaged. Even though my kids were ready for the colder temperatures at the top of the crater, Preston provided them with additional layers to keep them comfortable. The Sunrise was magnificent. Preston continued providing interesting facts about the area on our way back which were easier to follow since we could now see!Thank you Preston and Polynesian Adventure Tours for giving my family memories we will never forget. Our guide, Hank, was excellent. He provided interesting historical information about Hawaii and the places we saw. He pointed out things for us to see or experience as we traveled and approached different areas. He was very personable and interjected humor which made the long day very enjoyable. The tour provided an easy way to see the spectacular scenery and to appreciate the significance of what we were seeing. There were ample stops for stretching our legs and walking through some parks and scenic areas. The food was good for a tour. We were very glad that we took this tour.

Wayne was fantastic! He brought such an energy and excitement to the tour. I’m amazed he had so much to give at 2:00 AM. I loved hearing all of the fun facts and learning about Maui’s history while riding with Wayne. The bus was very comfortable, and the ride was very smooth. We made several stops during the trip, so we had plenty of opportunities to get up and stretch our legs and to use the restroom. As many people know, the summit is indeed very cold. I would suggest wearing multiple layers and even bringing your hotel comforter if you feel so inclined (I wish I had brought mine). Watching the sunrise is such an uplifting experience. One of the park staff does a chant as it starts, and I would recommend leaning into the experience, because you’ll definitely feel something emotionally even if you aren’t very spiritual. It was a beautiful experience that I highly recommended. After descending back into Kahului, you’ll stop for breakfast, which was a nice little treat. From there, you’ll be driven back to your hotel where you can settle in for your afternoon nap.

We had a great time. Frank our driver was most helpful. We spent a lot for this and it wasn’t a disappointment. Everything worked out. The only incident we had was on our flight back the gate was changed but we found out in plenty of time. No fault of yours though. We took plenty of pictures and both of our phones were out when we returned. Love our visit to Pearl Harbor.

The road to Hana was a great way to spend the day. Tour guide (forgot her name...my bad) was knowledgeable and funny. She was able to point out many things we would never have seen on our own. Even saw wild goats and deer! I took a million pictures but I’m just including a few

The Road to Hana Van Tour was a very well-planned trip around the circumference of the base of Haleakala. Our driver, Larry, was an experienced knowledgeable guide. He shared with his 12 passengers the local flora, the volcanic landscape, the history of the area, legends, and wildlife. This full-day tour allowed time for bathroom breaks, photo opportunities, and lunch. Some of the stops included included historic villages, waterfalls, black-sand beaches. We ate lunch in Hana that was deliciously prepared by locals. The food was all locally grown and fresh. If you have time in your itinerary for a full day tour, you should definitely consider this beautiful trip. Having a skilled driver is a comfortable and safe way to travel an extremely narrow and curvy road that skirts some of America’s most beautiful coastline!

We bought the Road to Hana tour through this company. They pick you up from your hotel around 6am & then take you to a golf course to eat a light breakfast. Mostly consists of scones, muffins, fruit, juice, tea, & coffee. Lunch is included. I got the turkey sandwich. That was a pretty good sandwich 😋 anyways, we got Hank as our tour guide. Let me say that this man knows his stuff. We learned so much about the history of not just Maui but of the islands of Hawaii. He talked about everything from when Captain Cook first sailed here & put Hawaii on the map to what's happening now with the economy. It was great. I love a history lesson while I'm admiring the sights. He even stopped to let me pet a goat. I didn't pet the goat cause it ran away. This was an amazing tour. This road is dangerous though but Hank is a master at driving it. It's also absolutely stunning. So many waterfalls & lush green forests & beautiful beaches. Thank you Hank for truly making it a wonderful & unforgettable day ♥️
